You can see it in the distance. A testament to the granite batholith that makes the Black Hills in South Dakota perfect for carving. Our four “Great” Presidents. One wonders if there is room for more?
This is an iconic national monument. It is easy to photograph. But realistically – they pretty much look the same. I suppose the changing seasons and time of day will give a different perspective, but alas we were there on a blue sky sunlit day. But it’s worth the visit.
