Kings Canyon National Park
Kings Canyon National Park
Wander among the giant Sequoia and one is dwarfed by the trees. Columns holding up a canopy of green hundreds of feet above you. Lost in this space, there is a sense of needing guidance as the crepuscular or God Rays seem to provide a compass to help one find oneself. Searching for panoramic views, the size of the trees make you realize you are surrounded by a forest of giants. Even the 15 inch pine cones are massive.
Driving through the park one views glimpses of tortured rock, bent into sharp chevron folds. Hiking through the valleys, one finds waterfalls that invite a respite with the river separating the forest to reveal the blue sky.
