Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park
Bemoaning the loss of Glaciers to climate change does not take away from Magnificent carvings of the earth. The impossibly steep ridges or Arête formed by the enormous eroding power of glaciers cuts through the park. U-shaped valleys sculpted between the mountains. The high alpine and wildflowers that eventually lead to lakes that lie below. Swiftcurrent and Sherburne lake, Saint Mary’s Lake, and finally Lake Mcdonald, each have their own path to different seas. The triple divide – sending their waters to the Arctic, to the gulf and to the Pacific.
